About Me
I’m Tricia Corso; a therapist, nature lover, woman, nurturer, seeker of adventure and knowledge.
After graduating with my master's in social work while living in New York (my home state!), I realized that I had checked off all of the “right” boxes up until that point but I wasn’t sure what I was “supposed” to do next. I was interviewing and applying for jobs but they didn’t excite me, and would barely cover my expenses month to month. I realized that I wouldn't be able to live the life I wanted to in New York so I started looking into positions in Denver, CO. I had close friends that moved there and when I had visited them, I discovered that a healthier lifestyle existed; centered around the outdoors with less stress. I received a job offer in Denver so I made the extremely difficult but exciting decision to move; leaving my family, friends, and everything I knew.
It was scary and nerve-racking but I knew it was something I needed to do. I knew that I was never going to be truly happy living the lifestyle that I had grown up thinking that I was “supposed to” live; I was ready to discover who I was without the external noise of other people's opinions & expectations and wanted to have space to focus on what made me happy.
I pushed through a lot of discomfort and fear of the unknown so I could explore what it was that I needed to feel fulfilled. I worked on not getting caught up in the future and the what ifs (hello fear of failure!) and I paid attention to what I wanted in the present.
My mantra of “everything is temporary '' got me through a lot of decisions. I realized that making a decision didn’t always mean it’s final and rather than getting stuck on trying to figure out whether or not it would be the right decision, in order to create a false sense of safety by feeling in control, I listened to what I wanted in that moment and followed through with it- trusting that I could work through any potential hiccups along the way.
That time in my life helped me get to where I am now; living a more aligned, meaningful life. I made a change to be more honest, communicate more openly, and intentionally choose where I put my energy. More recently, I made the decision to leave my job(s) to start my own private practice and now have more freedom to pursue my passion.
A huge reason why I was able to learn all of this was through work in my own therapy; and I want to hold a container for my clients to learn strategies, set boundaries, and deepen connections with themselves and the people around them. I want them to understand that when they start questioning the "shoulds" and "supposed to’s" and truly follow what's in their heart- they will feel relief and freedom.
I’m passionate about supporting women that are going through similar pain points that I've experienced so that I can help them skip some unnecessary steps. If you are ready to make this commitment for yourself or have questions, please click the “Book a Consultation” button below to schedule a call with me so we can chat about your goals and how to reach them.
I’m excited to join you as you take this leap of faith into your healing journey!
Who I Work With
I work primarily with women who are high functioning but emotionally exhausted.
Many of my clients come to therapy because what they have been doing to cope no longer feels sustainable. They may be managing careers, relationships, caregiving, or life changes while quietly carrying anxiety, self doubt, or chronic stress.
Common reasons women reach out include:
Anxiety that feels constant or hard to shut off
Burnout and emotional fatigue
Trauma or unresolved past experiences
Life transitions such as career changes, relationship shifts, or identity changes
Feeling disconnected from themselves or unsure how they feel anymore
You do not need to be in crisis to seek therapy. Many women come simply because they want things to feel steadier, warmer, and more manageable.
My Journey and Training
I am a licensed therapist who works with women navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, and major life transitions. Many of the women I work with appear capable and composed on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, depleted, or disconnected internally.
My approach is relational, trauma informed, and grounded. I focus on creating a space where you feel understood rather than analyzed, supported rather than rushed, and respected as we make sense of what you are experiencing together.
I believe therapy works best when it feels human. Not performative. Not clinical for the sake of being clinical. Just real, steady support that helps you feel more at ease in your own life.
My Approach to Therapy
I think about therapy as a shared process rather than something I do to or for you. My role is to help create a space where it feels safe to slow down, talk honestly, and make sense of what you are experiencing without pressure to fix or perform.
I pay attention to how past experiences, ongoing stress, and emotional patterns show up in the present. This often includes noticing how your body responds, how you relate to yourself, and how you move through relationships, especially when things feel overwhelming or stuck.
I work from a trauma informed perspective and draw from approaches like EMDR when it is helpful, but therapy with me is not technique driven. Much of the work happens through conversation, reflection, and the relationship itself.
I believe therapy is most effective when it feels steady, respectful, and paced to what feels manageable. Feeling understood and emotionally safe is often what allows change to unfold.
Therapy and Coaching
In addition to therapy, I also offer life coaching.
Therapy is often the right starting point if anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, or relational patterns are interfering with your daily life or sense of wellbeing. Therapy provides clinical support, ethical safeguards, and space for deeper emotional work.
Coaching may be a better fit if you are feeling emotionally stable but want support with direction, decision making, or personal growth. Coaching focuses on forward movement rather than clinical treatment.
Some people move between therapy and coaching at different points in their lives. We can talk in more detail about what feels like the right fit.
Education, Training, and Credentials
My education and training includes:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Colorado and Pennsylvania
Member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW)
EMDR Certified from Maiberger Institute
Trauma informed and relational approaches
Ongoing continuing education in anxiety, trauma, and nervous system regulation
Where I Practice
I offer in person therapy in Denver, Colorado.
I also provide teletherapy to clients across Colorado and Pennsylvania.
Life coaching is available nationwide.
If you are feeling anxious, burned out, or stretched thin in ways that no longer feel manageable, you do not have to figure it out on your own. Therapy can offer space to slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and feel more supported as you move forward. If you are curious about working together, we can talk through what support might look like and whether it feels like a good fit.
If you’re considering therapy or life coaching and would like to see if working together feels right, we can start with a conversation.
